I never thought this would be something I would have to possibly leave Deviant Art, as I’m the umpteenth person who has concerns about AI art. I’ve lately been thinking of trying for a third time to make my own artist website, whether it will include any kink art like what I do here or have some focus on both fan art and original art is up for debate. I still upload elsewhere on my other platforms, including Newgrounds that has both kinds and not caring as much if they mix there. I can’t change someone’s mind on what they have about me as much as the world and societies embrace new technology and it’s authentic or crappy ideas. I just hope I’m not just going head first into my own stupid ideas even after at least thinking about it.

Now, I not exactly against any new thing that comes along. I’m not against social media or newer technologies being more widely used. What I am against is “how” that technology is being used. Whether it makes it easier for people to be more violent or stupid or lazier; the Frankenstein monster that destroys its creator. And there’s only so much one can do when such changes happen except try to find their purpose and value each time for the rest of their lives. Identify yourself outside of the medium’s use as you use said media. And potentially, there might be that person that keeps the origins (in this case art) and value alive even when the world forgets that art was once solely a human thing. Now if it is possible to define the boundaries that’s more balancing of human and AI, you can definitely try. AI art is still very new and not a threat yet, I just hope some can also balance when to accept and when to be vigilant and when to mix it and how you‘re accepting and in vigilance.

I too still ask what else I can do while I wait, what else can I learn. Things don’t last forever, even AI use can still go belly up (whether it becomes Skynet or not) or not become what we think it does or acts of outside human control comes up (if not something wiping people out completely) . We’re pretty much in that cycle of change now and when times are hard how one can become stronger and adaptable until better things come in (though I suggest still finding the good in the now).

And right now, depending on what DA does with fully opting out of not being used for the program, I may or may not be around for long. It’s sad on one level but liberating one the other. I am tired of the stagnating and asking around into the ether with no answers. I do ask on here for anyone that is active and supports my art, even if they don’t pay on how to market myself, how much to balance on doing what I enjoy and others also enjoying it. Not exactly stopping what I do, but ideas always open to decide.

Had this idea come to mind for those who are reluctant to commission me because of the prices or potential. So for the month of December, All my commissions will be $1 a drawing, there will be an additional $1 for any add ons. It can be a sketch/line art, color, shadings, etc. what ever you like as long as you follow my commission guide lines.

I also look into changing my commission options and prices for the new year.
